Zachary Shank

Director of Athletic Operations

Zach was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and is a proud alumnus of Trinity College of Jacksonville, where he earned a degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Sports Administration in 2012. A standout athlete during his college years, Zach played four years of basketball at TCJ and was recognized as a four-time All-American.


Following graduation, Zach joined the TCJ men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach, launching a career dedicated to developing student-athletes and building strong athletic programs. In 2014, he became the Athletic Director at Cornerstone Christian School, where he had the unique opportunity to build the school’s athletic program from the ground up.


In 2017, Zach and his wife relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he served as Athletic Director and Head Coach for both boys' and girls' basketball at Neuse Christian Academy. In 2022, the Shank family returned to Jacksonville, where Zach accepted the role of Athletic Director at Eagle’s View Academy.

Zach is deeply passionate about private school athletics and is committed to helping small schools thrive both on and off the field. He is excited to step into the role of Director of Athletic Operations and to play a key part in advancing the mission and success of the SSAA.


Zach has been married to his wife, Emily, for 10 years. Together, they have two children, Lennon and Wells.

Stephanie Martin

Sports Administrator (Indoor Volleyball, Beach volleyball, Soccer, New Members)

Stephanie recently retired from Fort Myers High School where she was a Physical Education Teacher and Varsity Head Volleyball coach for 27 years. She led her team to 5 State Runner -Ups and 4 Final Fours, compiling 695 wins. She has 31 years of teaching and coaching experience at the high school level. Stephanie, also was a Graduate Assistant at FIU for a season working with the Volleyball Team. She played collegiate volleyball at Stetson University (1984-88 as a setter). Currently she is coaching club Volleyball with Florida Gulfside Volleyball Academy in Naples, Florida.


During her time at Fort Myers, she sat on the FHSAA Volleyball Advisory Board, Florida Athletic Coaches Association State Chair for seven years and Local Chair for more than 20 years. She was inducted into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame and recently Inducted into the Lee County Athletic Conference Hall of Fame.


Stephanie is married to Greg Martin and has two beautiful Children daughter Kirby and son Clay. “ I am looking forward to working with SSAA. I have always enjoyed working with student athletes, building relationships and being able to give back to the sport I have so much passion for.”

Gage Brown

Sports Administrator (Football, Softball, Baseball)

Gage Brown comes to the SSAA with 6 years of experience working with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the past 3 in Port St Lucie, FL. He has coached baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis at all levels from recreational leagues to high school competitions. He is excited to see the SSAA continue to grow and build relationships with the schools, coaches, and athletes in the State of Florida!


Gage graduated from Union University with a B.A. in Christian Studies with a minor in athletic coaching. He also has a MS in Coaching and Athletic Management from Concordia St. Paul and is joined in Florida with his wife, Megan, and their 6 kids!

Dr. Danielle LaPoint

Sports Media & Administrative Specialist

Dr. Danielle LaPoint is a seasoned athletic administrator with 16 years of experience as an athletic director, teacher, and coach. She is a proud alum of SUNY Cortland and holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, a Master's in Health, and a Doctorate in Athletic Administration. Dr. LaPoint has served as an athletic director at a range of high schools, from a large Title I school to traditional-rich programs. Before stepping into athletic administration, she taught physical education and coached flag football, soccer, football, and lacrosse, building strong foundations for brand-new programs. Dr. LaPoint enjoys professional development and has served on numerous state committees. Increasing athletic director efficiency, productivity, and creativity are areas in which she excels. She recently transitioned from school-based athletic leadership into the vendor space to help athletic departments and state associations implement tools and strategies for success on a broader scale. Whether working with state athletic associations, within athletic departments, delivering presentations, or connecting with ADs across the country, Dr. LaPoint finds purpose and pride in advancing the field of athletic administration.
